Making an iPart and getting Excel error message.

Trying to make an iPart and I am getting this message when I try to finish.

Excel installation is required for this operation. Failed to launch Excel.


I am guessing the fact that I am using OpenOffice might have something to do with it? lol

 

Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Intel i7 870 @ 2.93 GHz
Nvidia GeForce 580 GTX 1536MB GDDR5
8 GB Ram
250GB HDD

Hi.

Yep... you rigth

 

One of the System requirements for Autodesk Inventor is:

  • Microsoft® Excel® 2003 or later software for iFeatures, iParts, iAssemblies, thread customization, and spreadsheet-driven designs.

And Excel 2007 or greater with Inv 2015..
