Inventor BOM does not honour spaces in Part Number

Inventor does not honour spaces in Part Number and other numbers.

It treats them as if no spaces between so I cannot properly sort my files in the BOM.

For example PN 01 002 is treated as PN01002.

Please advise it is “as designed” or there is some workaround way to sort files in the BOM?

According to our development, apparently in most of cases, the way used by Inventor to sort out the part numbers in BOM was defined to be intuitive and simple for the user. This sorting method is also used by other softwares like Excel,.....
