Inventor 2013 can't save as Cad format

Autodesk Inventor 2013 does not save as Autocad format either using save as or export command, see the attached picture for Inventor message

Does any one know why?

Said,

Can you tell us if this happens on all of your parts?

Does this happen to others in your organization?

What location are you trying to save this file to?

What OS is on your computer?

Please send us an update when you have an opportunity.

Thank you.

Yes, it happen with all the parts

I'm the only one using inventor

I'm trying to save the cad in the folder where the part is saved

The OS is windows 7

By the way, it happen with all these ways:

Save as copy

Export-cad format

Export-Export dwg

The "Option..." button in the save dialogue box is clickable, but nothing pops up

Thanks for your replay

Said,

Please check the status of your Translator Addins.

You should have one for DWG.

Thank you.

Well, I found one, it's status was "Automatic/On Demand" witch I changed to "Automatic/Loaded" and clicked OK

however the problem was not solved, when open the same AddIn dialogue box, it's state change back to "Automatic/On Demand"

witch means it did not load.

please see attachment

Hi! Based on the snapshot you captured at the beginning of the thread, it seems like you were doing Save Copy As of Flat Pattern in Sheet Metal. Could you simply right-click any flat part face -> Export Face As. Does it work? If not, could you take a look at the following workaround and see if it helps?

Thanks!

I've had a very similar problem and discovered it was caused by a failed instance of DWG TrueView.

Try reinstalling DWG TrueView and launch it once using the "Run As Administrator" option as suggested in the previous post.

Then re-try the various export options.

We had this exact issue pop up today - unable to export .DWG, Inventor 2013 w/all updates, Windows 7 - and what is described in the link that Johnson recommended worked.  No idea why it cropped up.  We haven't had any changes to hardware or software, so there's no real reason for anything to change with Inventor.
