File location help

I am working on a project in Inventor. Long story short, the file destinations got messed up. I was in the process of getting them all in the same folder so that I could organize them, but now the main project won't open. I'm am not the most Inventor-savvy. I've run out of ideas on how to fix it.

The message that pops up is "Cannot find applets configuration file"

Possibly create a new Project File with the structure you want and then copy the files into the folder. This should work for your main IPT, IAM and IDW files. You may need to add detail on which files and if any CC and Library files. You haven't given that much information about your files and how you are organizing them. It sounds like you aren't using Vault.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

Yeah I've discovered that the message shows up when I open the application, even without trying to open a part. I think when it says it can't locate the applet, I probably moved it in the process of moving files. Now I can't figure out the correct location for it.

kemawach,

Welcome to the Forum.

What version of Inventor are you using?

Can you tell me it is works correctly if you log into that computer as a different user?

Thank you.
