we've been playing with IV for a year or so but now want to produce some
production drawings.
We like the automated partslist for the drawing bill of materials for
assemblies but there's a problem when it comes to part drawings.
When you are machining a part the BOM should call up our standard raw
material part number, and weight etc, not the part properties ie partno etc.
It's like a circular reference, makes no sense.
Do people make separate idw templates for parts and assemblies so that a
bom for a part pulls custome material properties and boms for assemblies work
as normaal?
