We are trying to install the network license server for the Building Design Suite on a Debian Linux server. On serverside everything seems to be working, but the clients can't connect to the server.
Has anyone successfully installed the license server on Linux?
Is there a way to troubleshoot al Linux license server?
Is there any documentation on configuring the server on Linux?

Do you actually have a working adskflex vendor for Linux?

Yes, I can ping the fileserver on the network. I get an IP4 address in response. Netstat tells me that both port 2080 and 27000 are open and that these ports are linked tot adskflex and lmgrd.
Is there a way to check the available licenses in Linux?
I am sure there is some sort of lmutil syntax you can use to verify. However, your log file already shows there are products available.
What error are you getting at the client?
I don't realy get an error message when I try to connect from the client side:
First a get an window where I can enter the license server name
When I enter 'fileserver' I get the same window again.
This is strange because for any other servername I enter, I get the "could not obtain license error".
I found out that most of our PC's did connect to the new license server. It seemed to be a local problem on some PC's, including my own. I reinstalled the building design suite on the affected PC's and everything seems te be working fine now...
The problem is solved. Thanks very much for your help!
