I want to put 2005 on my machine at home.
How do I install Acad without a license?
How do I borrow a network license?
How do I get it home?

Well, first we need some more information about your copy of AutoCAD...

"I want to put 2005 on my machine at home."

- Okay, is it your copy or a company owned copy? The EULA allows for a second install, provided you only use one at a time. Read the EULA for more information.

"How do I install Acad without a license?"

- You can install AutoCAD as a 30-day trial. Is your copy a Stand-alone or a Network version?

"How do I borrow a network license?"

- Tools > License Borrowing > Borrow License
(Assuming you have a License Server a.k.a. FlexLM)

"How do I get it home?"

- If it is your copy, just take it home. If not, I can not advise you to steal the CD or the License.

"Where do I put the license on my machine?"

- If you borrow a license, it will do it Automatically. If you install a second stand-alone copy (legally) you can just re-Authorize the installation thru the Internet or your Reseller.

Hope this helps lead you in the right path.
