acad 2002 on win2k clients; win2k server
Hi,
I was recently put in charge of providing support for Autocad for our
Engineering group;
One of the first observations I made, is that any customization to Autocad
whether user-driven (menus, templates, flyers, toolbars etc...) or whether
through VBA or LISP is saved and run from each user's PC.
Unfortunately, this requires that any changes made to the Autocad
environment and the code must be effectuated at the PC level.
I would like to be able to store all the user's preferences/configuration as
well as any customized VBA code, LISP code from a network location such that
a user's environment follows him/her on whichever PC he/she logs in. (i.e. a
roaming setup)
Is this at all feasible and how can it be done?
P.S. I would prefer not to rely on MIS to implement the roaming user profile
via win2k to implement this request as I would have to wait another year
before MIS is ready!
Thanks,
Dominique
