chose network license for a stand alone installation

Hi !

I have already installed Acad without activation on a station. (serial 000-000...) How do I redirect that stand alone installation to a server license

Thanks'

Jimmy,

I did this and it worked for my Civil 3D 2008 installation, but it gives me
an error on my Land Desktop Companion 2008. Any solution to fixing this. I
have noticed that it is a problem in other posts but it doesn't seem that
anyone has a solution.

Also, if I do have to re-install, do I have to uninstall and reinstall or
can I just install from the network deployment right over my current stand
alone version?

Thanks for all your help!

In most case, you have to uninstall first. I had to for Map and Civil.

I heard there is a utilitie that comes with Revit. It is called Standalone to network installation (simple and clear command). Is anyone knows if it works with other Autodesk products ?

Hi,
Finding a trick for solving this without reinstall is probably much more
work than reinstalling as the way to find what needs to be done would
require two clean installations and comparing them both when it comes to
files and registry.

I would say that the safest bet is to uninstall and install from the network
deployment.
Just installing don’t work.
