During my initial setup, I was installing to an external hard drive and halfway through the inventor installation, it crashed and died.... My computer registered as installing inventor, so when I went back into the wizard, it still said that inventor was already installed. I was able to download everything else, but I need inventor desperately. How can I get the wizard to acknowledge that I do not have inventor installed?
Installing to a removable device probably isn't a good idea. But in any case, try one of these solutions:

Worked for the same Problem for Autodesk Vault Professional 2018 .
