Revit Suite

I purchased the Revit Architecture Suite for the purpose or getting Revit and updating my current ACAD. I was just told by the Autodesk Business Center that I MUST install all 3 programs and I MUST install Revit first, then ACAD, then ACA.

Can anyone verify if this is true or not?

My personal opinion is that you can install any of the applications in the software suite that you want.  If you don't want AutoCAD, then don't install it.  In my experience, order of installation hasn't been that big of a deal.  There are certain suites which require a specific product installed prior to installation itself (Autodesk Structure, for example) but as for this particular suite, I can't imagine installing AutoCAD then Revit will make any bit of difference.  Autodesk verticals are kept separate from each other quite well.  It's something that Autodesk tends to do better than other vendors.  I have so many Autodesk products installed that I don't even want to think about it!

It's probably suggested that you install per ABC's recommendation, but I'd tend to say that it is only a recommendation and rather not a MUST requirement.  😉
