Repeated Installation Failures: 2011

Everytime we upgrade to the next version of Inventor, we go through numerous installation failures before we actually get inventor running.
We have stand alone licenses.
I can't beleive that we really have to format our drives every time we want to install the next version of inventor.

Right now, 3 users cannot complete the inventor installation...they get stuck at the transition from disc 1 to 2. We had this same issue with version 2010. I had that problem with 2010, but I installed 2011 fine...same DVD drive.

It is not an issue with the discs.

Anyone have similar problems?

I'd suggest copying all of the DVD's into a single folder on the hard drive. Copy the disks in order from the first disk to the last. Answer yes if the copy asks to over write a folder or file of the same name. Run the install from this hard drive location.

I had to do that with 2010.
