Network client installs

We are about to deploy AD 3.3 in our office, with the FlexLM. First time for Autodesk product. I've read some posts about speed concerns with a network client installation. This seems like the way to go for convenient sake, but I was wondering how many out there are using it, and what kind of start-up speed issues are you looking at?

Are you talking about doing a thin client install (network heavy)? If so, I
wouldn't do it. There is still about 60MB of files installed on the client
and when you have to install service packs you have to install it first on
the server that has AutoCAD fully installed on it (with no clients
connected), then you have to install the SP on every client.

Doing this slows autocad down, increases the number of machines you have to
administer by 1, and just slows down autocad.

I tried this in a test environment and actually found the speed to be
acceptable until I did a full install on the client and found that autocad
started up faster and loaded faster. If you do the install of autocad to
the server from a machine other than the server that machine is considered
the "master" and if uninstall autocad from that machine then you've just
uninstalled autocad for everyone. Where if you just uninstalled autocad
from a "thin" client the ~60MB of files would just be uninstalled.

My $.02, do a full client install and make your life a little easier.
