What is the proper way to install the administration image of LDT from a second office over a VPN?
I had a user (in office 2) try installing the administrative image (the way a user would in this office (office 1)) from the server in office 1 where the license server is physically located. It started to install, then stalled, and finally quit without explanation.
Can I install at office 2 from disk and "guide" it to the license server?
Fairly new at network admin, so pardon my lack of anything blazingly obvious.
Don't try installing over VPN.
Will take FOREVER.
Build a deployment site on the outside office server and install from there.
You can create the deployment yourself from your office running the NIW from your workstation but have the CD's fed into the remote server by someone there.
