Maya won't run for me on MacBook Pro

Here are my specs:

 

I have a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8, 2G ram,1.83 intel duo core,ATY,RadeonX1600GPU.

 

I downloaded the Maya OSX 30 day trial.

 

Maya won't open up.  "not supported on this type of mac".  What am I missing?  Help!

Hello Timothy.

 

Per the Maya 2013 System Requirements, OS X 10.7.x. is needed to run the software on a Mac.
