Long time to create a network deployment

I have tried to create a network deployment for A2006 and A2007 recently and
the process is taking well over an hour. Does anyone have the same problem
or know why?

Have you try to disable your antivirus?
I recently have a problem with Macafee.

I found that Symantec/ Norton's Auto Protect is the worst. I have seen AutoCAD take 2 hours to deploy.

Definitely turn off real-time virus scanning.

When I was creating our 2007 images at the server it would take over 4
hours. I created the images from a workstation and it took at most 30
minutes.

Hello George,
Do you, by chance, have a 64-bit OS on your server?
If you do, then the deployment will be very very slow.
