Inventor 2011 Authorisation issue

We recently re-installed Inventor 2011 on a new machine running Windows 7. As a subscription customer we entered our contract number as the serial number during the install.

when starting inventor, the authorisation page says serial number is invalid. We tried another re-install using the serial number on the packaging - a different S/N to the contract number, again the same problem.

any suggestions would be approciated.

Was the old machine a 32-bit OS?

If the product is under Subscription, what you will likely need to do is request a previous use serial number for your 2011.  If your Subscription is expired, then the lease for the older product has expired and cannot be activated.  Autodesk or your Reseller should be able to assist you with this directly.
