Installing a 2nd FLEXlm

A previous thread discussed updating FLEXlm with the update to AutoCAD 2006 and one user said that they had installed the new v10.1.5 while leaving the old v9.2 in place so they could migrate. I attempted installing in this manner and the install wouldn't go because it said that I had to remove the current one.
Is this a problem because I still have the individual lmgrd's running (I have several software products under FLEXlm)? If I just stop all of the FLEXlm services will I then be able to go forward with the v10.1.5 install? And upon completion will v9.2 still work the same as before? Whew, that's a lot of questions - hope someone has the answers.
Thanks in Advance
Jay

AFAIK, FLEXlm is backward-compatible with older versions. It should be safe
to update to the latest version of the services without affecting existing
lmgrd's. I don't know of any way to do a side-by-side install of different
versions on the same server.
