Installing R2002 network over R2000i stand alone

Hi:

I am experiencing problems when installing (upgrading)AutoCAD R2002 network version over an existing R2000i stand alone version. The install looks like it proceeds normally however the software will not work. I have had to uninstall the software, clean the registry, and do a new install to a new directory (which works).

Is it possible to install the network version over a stand alone or do I need to uninstall the stand alone first (and then copy any user customized files over)?

Thanks;
Nick

Not possible. There's IMHO no way to "upgrade" an older Version with
the R2002. Follow the steps written in the manual.

AFAIK this way is only possible from a standalone R2002 to the
networkversion.

It is possible but there are a couple of things
that don't get correctly installed with this installation.  Most of your
paths will still point at the old installation of AutoCAD.  Change those
and try your installed version again.
