Infrastructure Design Suite Premium 2014 Install - stuck in loop

I have a deployment built for IDSP2014l.

We are trying to install it on a new machine with a fresh install of Win7x64

The dialog above appears, and the progress bar goes very slowly across (5-10 minutes) and then it just starts over again. Local log file creation is enabled in the deployment, but no log file exists %temp% directory, like the "actual" install process never gets started.

I have let it run for 20+ hours and nothing changes, it just stays in this loop with the dialog.

* AV is disabled

* Rebooted and tried install again multiple times.

* Install of this same deployment has been successful on other machines with identical hardware/OS

TIA

Update:

I used Process Monitor to see what "setup.exe" was doing.
It's creating a subdirectory under %Temp%, named something like "_AI4536"
It's copying the following directories FROM the deployment, TO the new location under %temp%
* \img\en-us
* \img\setup
* \img\setupRes

Then it just stops all activity and sits there.

Nevermind. Found it.

My SysAdmin renamed the deployment server in between the time of the successful install and today. Smiley Mad

The reason I didn't notice this up front is that the old name and new name are exactly the same except for the 1 character out of 17 that was changed.

We've had the same issue. In our case the installation path was too long. So make sure the path is as short as possible.

We've had this with 2013 and 2016 IDS
