Hi Russ,
I have seen the Read-Only problem caused by either network or server latency
problems. Another cause is third party network compliance problems with
Microsoft network API. As for loosing your changes, that sounds like a
server cache problem or an API problem at the server OS level. I would
contact your "NAS BOX" vendor and see if they are familiar with your
problem. If not, try using a PC running Windows to service some fles and
try to reproduce the problem. If the problem does not reproduce go back to
the NAS vendor with that information.
