FlexLm problem's

Hi all

I have instaled FlexLM ins a server (NT 4.0) with 2 network cards, so I have
2 ethernet address in LMtools.
The codes I asked to Autodesk was based in one ethernet address.
I put the .lic files in correct place and put the correct path in lmtools
but I can't start any AutoCAD. I receive the error [1.5.-18]
The server can have 2 network cards?
I have to send the 2 ethernet address when I send the codes request?

Thanks in advance

Paulo

Paulo -
Is the FlexLM service started? Does the debug log indicate any problems with starting the service? Does the debug log indicate that
it is ready to issue licenses?

Hi,

if I read the Flex documentation correctly, -18 means that the license
server is distributing a license for another product than you are trying
to use. Check the license file for the product description. The row that
looks like this:

INCREMENT 41100ACD_2002_0F adskflex 1.000 permanent 10 \

Here's a short list of different products:
41100ACD_2002_0F AutoCAD 2002
40700CADOV_2002_0F CAD Overlay 2002
40900MDT_PP_6_0F Mechanical Desktop 6
40300MAP_5_0F Autodesk MAP 5
40100ARCHDESK_3_3F Arcitectural Desktop 3.3
416003DSVIZ_4_0F Autodesk VIZ R4
41900ARDES_3_0F Autodesk Raster Design 3
41700INVNTOR_5_3F Autodesk Inventor 5.3

I'm really not sure if this is correct or not....

Another way to check is to use the lmtools.exe. 1st select Configuration
using services and then change to the Server Status tab and press the
Perform Status Enquiry. The result should look something like this:
--------
Status
--------
Flexible License Manager status on Thu 2/14/2002 19:38

[Detecting lmgrd processes...]
License server status: 27000@192.168.64.1
License file(s) on 192.168.64.1:
E:\Installs\AdLM\License\CAD-Q-LICENSE.LIC:

192.168.64.1: license server UP v7.1

Vendor daemon status (on monsteri):

adskflex: UP v7.2
Feature usage info:

Users of 41100ACD_2002_0F: (Total of 10 licenses available)

This means that the manager is dealing out 10 licenses of AutoCAD 2002
