We have recently gotten a new computer with windows 7 OS. My old computer sytem was windows xp and it was a 32bit system. I got from Autodesk "AutoCad_Mechanical_2012_English_Win_64bit.exe" and installed it. When I got to the finish Autocad failed to load and in the rror log it told me "You are attempting to use a 32-bit installer on a 64-bit operating system." What am I doing wrong.
Very frustrated.

I didn't. I downloaded and installed "Autocad_Mechanical_2012_English_Win_64bit.exe". It wasn't unil I got to the very end of the install that it failed to install. I have attached the error log that came once it failed to install.

Thanks for your help.
Don't worry about it, all is good. I had a tech come in and fix the problem. I am up and running now.
