I am a very knowlagable computer user, and I recently had a hard drive failure and had it replaced. I am now trying to redownload Autodesk Inventor 2011 Professional. But after I begin downloading the first of the three files after random amounts of time and download it stops......I have gotten as far as 414 MB out of 2.60GB and as little as 18.6MB out of 2.60GB. I am active on the computer as it downloads so its not going to sleep and stopping the download, and I have changed download locations to make sure im placing the files in a place with adiquate space. Is there a problem with people downloading files at the moment??
Just keep trying. Might be a connection issue with your provider or Autodesk servers are busy. You might consider ordering the media. http://autodeskdocandmedia.com.
Have you tried downloading from another machine? In the future, it would be beneficial to archive your download to DVD or removable disk.
No I havent tried download on another machine because I dont need it on there I guess I could save it to my external hard drive though and then just move it. But I feel like the connection to the server is timing out.....because it just randomly stops...and it shouldent be a problem on my end, granted at&t DSL service in my area is crappy, but I can activly browse and watch tv over the net and whatnot while it cannot continue downloading. And its not a problem of space or my computers crappyness haha, its got 4gb of ram, 1gb of dedicated video ram on an NVidea quadro cuda chip, with a first generation i5 540 processor.
And archiving to DVD makes sense except for the fact that im a poor college student haha I literaly have no money. And I'm downloading under an educational license and in the terms and condidtions of getting this software for free it explicitly states that I cannot make any copys phisical or otherwise of this software. Otherwise I would have already haha. I may just go to my school and download it on their T1 lines....much faster.....
