Civil 3D 2010 on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit - Error applying transforms

According to Autodesk (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=9091876&linkID=9240697):

"AutoCAD Civil 3D® 2010 - is supported on Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit (on 64-bit, it runs in 32-bit compatibility mode). It is also supported on Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit (on 64-bit, it runs in 32-bit compatibility mode). "

When we attempt to install it directly from the DVD, we get the following error immediately after the "Install Products " page:

"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified trasform paths are valid. #267"

First try installing again with UAC disabled and after rebooting with MSCONFIG and the Diagnostic Startup option. If it continues to fail please open Windows Explorer, type %TEMP% in the address bar and upload the “AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 Install.log” file for this latest install attempt here.

Douglas, the "AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 Install.log" does not exist when I follow your instructions. The "AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 Setup" does though. I attached it and I hope there is a solution if not I will probably just reformat the machine. Thank you so much.
