We are attempting to build an Autodesk Design Academy 2013 deployment.
Could someone on the Autodesk team please explain to me why I cannot use a 64-bit Windows 7 workstation to build a deployment to a Windows 2003 server?
We have been told that you have to have a Windows XP workstation to create the deployment, which makes no sense at all as almost all new workstations come with Windows 7 and XP support is about to expire.
is this what your running into: http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/08
Yes, that is the exact error. However we were told with this new installation method via USB that we could not have the USB media attached to the server, that it had to be attached to a workstation and the image built on the server.
if you have the space can you copy the contents of the usb on to the server and run the installation on the server
Does it matter how you remote into the server? In other words if Computer A is the server and Computer B is the workstation, does it matter if B is a Windows XP or Windows 7 machine?
