Can Expired Trial AutoCAD and Rental License Coexist

An AutoCAD user I know installed the AutoCAD trial download, used the 30 day license (now expired), and susequently has been attempting to install "Revit Lt Suite - Monthly Rental License with Auto-Renewal With Advanced Support".  He hasn't been able to successfully install and run the rental product.  Is it necessary to uninstall the AutoCAD trial software to install and successfully run the rental license version?

No, the other Autodesk software will not interfere with additional packages.  If you are having installation woes, then please post any screencaps and log files here.
