Hello and Welcome to the community!

You can install Building Design Suite 2014 on a windows 7 32 bit machine. Please refer to Building Design Suite 2014 System requirements for all editions to make sure you meet all system requirements.

hello

What edition of windows do you have?

http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/building_design_suite_premium_2014.pdf < here is the pdf with requirments.

although says win 7 32bit.. ..i think it is only for few programs.

I think that Win 32 bit can't recognize more than 3 Giga ram.. and at requirments needs 4... minimum..

thanks. 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, I went online and downloaded the system requirements and sent this to IT but they still cant install it as they say its a 64 bit installation package, but we use the same installer for both bit types wether its 32 or 64.(on our subscription centre it states name of product then 32/64 so it can be used for both. Guess they have to keep on trying.

Thanks again

Oh and we are using windows 7

InterSeniorCAD  ,

Hello.

You cannot use a 64 bit installer on a 32 bit system. It sounds like the installer you are using is the wrong architecture. If you built the install from a USB key, you likely only have the 64 bit version.

You can download the installer that has both from here:

  1. Go to http://www.autodesk.com
  2. At the bottom of the page, beneath "Help and Support" click "Customer Service"
  3. Click the "Ask" button for the "Virtual Agent"
  4. Once the Virtual Agent opens, click "Download Links"
  5. Select the appropriate product and download
