AutoCAD closes after checking license for trial install

After I install AutoCAD 2013 trial install, I try to open it and it gets hung up on checking license then closes immdiately.

I also have AutoCAD Mechanical on this computer, not sure if this would cause problems.

The problem is with the ProductInformatin.pit file, most likely.  This file will need to be renamed. 

Windows XP: C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ADLM

Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADLM

By default, the AdlM folder is hidden. In Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options, and go to the View tab. Select the Show hidden files and folders option. You should now be able to see that folder.

The problem is, if you rename/delete this file, your Mechanical will not work anymore.  Might not be worth the trial...

I tried what you said and renamed productinformation.pit to productinformation1.pit and reinstalled Autocaad 2013 and I'm still having the same problem. below is a copy of the log from that file.

Yeah, it's not recreating the pit file. Licensing will not work correctly.
