I downloaded AutoCAD 2014 with a student license on Windows 7 64-bit OS. when I run it the first time, it shows the loading screen and then a dialog box pops up that says "Autodesk Component has stopped working" with the problem event name "APPCRASH".
I have basically exhausted all of Autodesk's support options, including repairing and completely reinstalling the program. Nothing has worked.
Since Autodesk is very limited in their customer support and error reporting services, this appears to be my only option for help.
