AdLM on Novell problem

I am trying to get a customer's MAP 2000i floating license server to work,
but am in a bad position, as they are a day's drive away and I have to do
this per telephone. Everything seems to be done correctly, but for some
reason the clients are not getting licenses. The license server is installed
on a Novell server and the clients are running NT 4. Here's a part of the
acadlm logfile if anyone could tell by looking at it what the problem is:

00-Nov-10 14:39:51: Can't read key directory " \\server1\sys\adlm\key. "

I have changed some of the nrs and names to prevent misuse, but the main
stuff is as was.

The clients have been installed from an image that was created choosing the
IPX/SPX protocol. The clients are using Novell's Netware 32 and they are
running NT 4.0, but can't get any license from the server.

I hope someone can help me. I can send the verbosity 9 log file if someone
needs it, but I won't post it here.

Hoping to hear from someone soon, I really don't know that much about
