Access ADLM machine through MSProxy Server?

I plan on installing MS Proxy Server into our network right behind our
Internet router. Employees want to be able to run Acad at home. Does anybody
out there have information on reaching a license manager through a proxy? Is
there specific settings that must be set or enabled? Will it work best to
move the license manager to the proxy machine so that it can be seen by both
sides of the firewall?

Thanks in advance for any repsonses.

Robert,

AdLM will not work on your proxy server this is because AdLM requires a
system with a single physical Ethernet adapter. Systems with multiple
physical or logical network adapters will cause AdLM to detect an
authentication violation. As far as getting past your firewall with AdLM,
this is doubtful. We have never tested anything like that and would be
unable to support it. If you want to try it anyway, advise your network
administrator that AdLM uses udp port 1422 which will have to be
unrestricted in both directions.
