We have a problem with the ADLM on our NT 4.0 server. While installing
2000i on the server (which had an existing ADLM installation that was
installed when we were running R14.01) an the ADLM file install was
mistakenly selected and installed to the default folder for this version of
ADLM - \Program Files\ADLM. Previous versions of ADLM always went in a
subfolder of the root directory. The end result is that the R2000 feature
codes exist in the C:\ADLM\Key folder and the R2000i feature codes exist in
the C:\Program Files\ADLM\Key folder. Because ADLM was running during the
install the R14 ADLM executables were not overwritten. The install only
seems to have modified an ADLM associated ini file and the registry.
Right now the ADLM sees the licenses in both \Key folders. I would like to
consolidate these folders, but can't loose these R2000 feature codes until
2000i has been successfully deployed. Will the server code reset if I
uninstall ADLM and select a common folder? These two versions of ADLM are
the same, but the R2000i version has a later build to which I'd like to
update if possible. Just trying to avoid flipping the server code and the
mess of getting new authorization codes issued.
