1996 3D Studio Max

Alright, so I found an old disk containing 3D Studio Max--mind you, the files are from 1996! Of course I'm not going to be able to search up help and find it, so here I am.

So I'm installing it, everything's going fine, until... It's asking for a diskette. I'm supposed to find the correct directory with these needed files. I closed the installer. It had 98% installed and was in the process of copying files.

The problem is, I don't know if I have that diskette, and even if I did I would STILL be stuck. Why? Because we did away with cheap floppy disks years ago and my tower doesn't have any floppy disk drive slots. All it has is a broken DVD-R slot, a working DVD-R and CD-R slot, four USB slots in the front (one doesn't work), and a mic and a headphone port in the front. Of course there's more in the back, but that's not important now.

I need these files so I can finish my installation. And of course I'm not going to find help on this site's FAQs and supports alone because the showed 3DSMax product line doesn't go back to 1996. This is back when Autodesk was called Kinetix (Hey, Microsoft, you copy-cat! :P).

So help...

I am going to be honest.  We would not have that media anymore.  Have you tried downloading the 2013 trial version?
