3 (or 4) ports Video card...

Hi,

I need to buy a new video card for my Win 7 AutoCAD Workstation and i need 3 monitors...

I was thinking about getting a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440...

>> I was just told that  this isn't  a good choice by dgorsman!

Is that "compatible" with AutoCAD 2010 & 2011 ?

I'm searching here & there but cannot find something  that convinces me!
I'm open to suggestions & recommendations!

Merci beaucoup!

PS: dgorsman also told me 3 monitors could be bit excessive, but i really need 3
1 for my drawing

1 for my markups

1 for my spreadsheet or database...

(i did post this same message on a wrong area before: please excuse my redundancy)

I wouldn't recommend an NVS card, they aren't great for CAD applications.  Three monitors are a bit excessive, if you absolutely *must* have them, you're probably going to need twin dual-head cards.

There are few single cards that will drive 3 monitors... I'd look at a gtx680 - one card will support up to 4 monitors simultaneously. For 2d only uses that should provide more than enough power.

Thank you very much!

I will look at this closer... but as i just saw, it looks like a very good option.

Bonne  journée !
