Batch conversion to DWF

I have done a search but was unable to find anything on batch conversion to DWF.

I know about Whip-N-Post, but it has a problem with placing our one and only x-ref in random places all over the DWF file which is unacceptable.

So, does anyone know of another batch conversion tool to create DWF files?

thanks,

john

Can you not use the batchPlot utility that comes free with
AutoCAD 2000/2000i? ScriptPro that comes free with AutoCAD
R2000/2000i if you installed Migration Assistance?

Dean,

In using the batchPlot utility and the classic-dwf printer config, we get filenames with the words 'model' added to them. I am assuming that it is making a DWF file from modelspace hence the filename. I've changed the utility to make the file look at all the viewports, but we still get filenames with the word 'model' added to them. Ideally, we want the same filename only with the DWF extension.

Now, have you had experience with this, and if so, would you know of a way get the utility to simply use the same filename?

thanks

try multi-batch. you write your own script, and it then processes what
you want.

Is that all the is stopping you from using the free BatchPlot
utility? There are lots of freeware products out there that can rename your
files for you using wild cards, so you can get rid of the -model in the
name.

ScriptPro, the other free utility, works with script files if
you want to write one, and you can define the file output name with a little
LISP programming.

www.shareware.com and
www.download.com have lots of file
renaming programs: I use a product called Powerdesk as my Windows Explorer and
it has that feature built in. Then there is always good old DOS strings you
could use, but it has been a while since I did it the hard way.

Try CaServer (

)
or AutoXchange (
href="http://www.tailormade.com/autoxchange.htm">www.tailormade.com/autoxchange.htm
),
depending on whether you want a Windows program that will run in the background
(CadServer) or a command line-driven program (AutoXchange). There are 21 day
trial versions available for each.
