THA / Harmonic / FRF results - Development Request

Hi guys,

Similar to the results that are presented on footfall analysis (i.e. maps of accelerations on panels), why is it not possible to see such maps for THA analysis.  The data is already there (you can view a diagram of acceleration for a chosen node), so why can't it be presented as a map.  This would apply to the harmonic analysis too.  For FRF, you could do the same, but user the "case component" slider bar to scroll through the frequency range checked against.

Hope other agree this would be useful.  It's not too late for service pack SP3 for 2013 is it!

Hi Tony,

appropriate wish list item is registered.

Unfortunately it is not related only to the way of output ("The data is already there (you can view a diagram of acceleration for a chosen node)") but also to the way of saving results by the solver. The current implementation of FE maps requires results not only in nodes but also in centroids of finite elements - and accelerations are not output there.

In case of harmonic and FRF analysis the temporary workaround is scaling of maps of displacements in appropriate directions. Acceleration is obtained by double differentiation of displacement so in case of harmonic vibrations the amplitude of acceleration can be obtained from amplitude of displacement multiplying by -(2*PI*f)*(2*PI*f), where f is the frequency of vibration.

Hello,

I am interested in this function as well. Has this been implemented in any versions of Robot since 2012?

Thanks,

Jonathan
