Carry over features from S8

There are a number of custom icons which were on Softdesk release 8 and
which I miss sorely. Specifically, I like the features contained in the AEC
draw (small, medium and large text at the click of a button, for instance),
and AEC tools tool bars as well as the "framing notation" command and I
would like to write the same for DT2. Can anybody point me in the right
direction as to how to go about this? The S8 routine seems to invoke files
and commands which no longer exist in DT2.

Thanks in advance

Wolff,
Well, your are probably "hosed" pretty much on old Softdesk stuff. You can
probably migrate the tool bars using the AutoCAD 2000 Migration assistant,
but.... the functions used by the old S8 software call more zz_ functions
than you can shake a stick at. I've "decoded" many of these, but...

A person I'd suggest is Ken Krupa. He wrote a great deal of code in his
Softdesk days, He is involved with SK Software (http://www.sksoftware.com/)
You can email him via: info@sksoftware.com Give him my regards. If anyoneone
can help you with this stuff, Ken can!

A TON of routines have been "ported" to ADT2 (as you probably know)
from s8

I can send you some I've "collected" since the beta

If you look a the \{ADT2}\Projects\details directory, there will be a file named, "macros_s8.lsp" that you can load into ADT. This file contains most of the commands, but none of the toolbars that came with the productivity tools of S8. If you need help loading the file, post back here and someone will be able to help you out. I will not be able to get to the newsgroup tomorrow, but if you need help and nobody has posted back by Thursday afternoon, I should be able to help at that time.

I most humbly stand corrected. While the macros_s8.lsp does not appear
to load in the non-details version of ADT2, loading it in the details
one does still allow me to use things like TM for text medium.
Ken got some free advertising anyway .
