In case it will be released ever they should firstly make it compatible with Retina displays and Dynamic Blocks (so any Windows-made DWG would work correctly).
The 2013 release is such a disappointment in features I wish I could make it never shown to public.
Just got a notification from Subscription Centre that Autocad LT 2014 Mac is 'ready for download'.
Go to Download Centre, only 2013 is there....
Hi Keith,
I am working on this missing download button issue and will get back to you via case 08881108 once resolved.
Hi Keith,
AutoCAD for Mac 2014 has not actually released yet and it appears as though the Subscription Center communication was a bit premature.
My apologies for the tease, and while I'm unable to provide the actual date of when it will be available, would ask that you hang in there for the time being 🙂
Please let me know if you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns!

Retina support feels pretty snappy. However it feels no faster than AutoCAD for Windows running with Boot Camp.
Dynamic blocks support is not clear. Compare article says it's there. And I can work with dynamic blocks made with AutoCAD for Windows: stetch them, change attributes, etc. However those blocks are locked for editing. Is it supposed to be this way?

Hi,
About Dynamic blocks - see footnote number 7 in Compare article:
"Dynamic blocks created in Windows® can be inserted and used on a Mac, but authoring and editing of these blocks is not currently supported"
That is why Dyn blocks are grayed out in Block Editor - you can use Dyn blocks the same way as in PC version, but can not edit or create them.

Hi,
If you mean ToolSets Palette - yes you can.But you can only do it "by hand".
Before you proceed I strongly recommend you to backup files you will edit or replace.
1. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming folder, where you can find "AutoCAD 2103" and "AutoCAD 2014" folders (if you already have AC 2013 and AC 2014 installed. Inside these folders are customization files - if you will go dipper - they are in "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2013/R19.0/enu/Support" folder for AC 2013 and in "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2014/R19.1/enu/Support" folder for AC 2014.
2. To copy ToolSets palette structure from AC 2013 to AC 2014 - copy Workflow.cui file from Support folder of AC 2013 to Support folder of AC 2014 (you will be prompted to override existing file, you already made backup of it - isn't it?)
3. To copy custom commands, associated with ToolSets palette buttons you need to edit contents of MenuGroup.cui file. Open MenuGroup.cui files from AC 2014 and from AC 2013 Support folders in your favorite text editor for programmers (I use TextWrangler for this). In both files scroll down to the end of the file.
4. Copy to clipboard all text lines form AC 2013 MenuGroup.cui file after:
<MenuMacro UID="ID_BLEND_CURVES">
<Macro type="Any">
<Revision MajorVersion="16" MinorVersion="2" UserVersion="0"></Revision>
<ModifiedRev MajorVersion="18" MinorVersion="2" UserVersion="0"></ModifiedRev>
<Name xlate="true" UID="XLS_00021834">Blend Curves</Name>
<Command>^C^C_BLEND</Command>
<HelpString xlate="true" UID="XLS_00021835">Creates a tangent or smooth spline between the endpoints of two open curves</HelpString>
<SmallImage Name="RCDATA_16_BLEND_CURVE"></SmallImage>
<LargeImage Name="RCDATA_32_BLEND_CURVE"></LargeImage>
<CLICommand xlate="true" UID="XLS_00021836">BLEND</CLICommand>
</Macro>
</MenuMacro>
....... <- start copy from here to the end of the file
5. Paste clipboard contents to AC 2014 MenuGroup.cui file in place of last 2 text lines:
<MenuMacro UID="ID_PACKAGEDRAWING">
<Macro type="Any">
<Revision MajorVersion="19" MinorVersion="1" UserVersion="0" />
<ModifiedRev MajorVersion="19" MinorVersion="1" UserVersion="0" />
<Name xlate="true" UID="XLS_00021846">Package drawing</Name>
<Command>^C^C_ETRANSMIT</Command>
<HelpString xlate="true" UID="XLS_00021847">Packages a set of drawings and dependency files into one unit for sharing.</HelpString>
</Macro>
</MenuMacro>
</MacroGroup> <- replace with clipboard contents
</MenuGroup> <- replace with clipboard contents (this should be the last line in the file)
Edited MenuDruop.cui file should ends with four lines:
</Macro>
</MenuMacro>
</MacroGroup>
</MenuGroup>
6. Save changes and launch AutoCAD 2014
If something goes wrong - just restore backuped files.
