I've had autocad 2012 for Mac for over a year now, and although I am not a frequent user I've never had any problems with it.
I started working on a new file yesterday and as I was working on it it started getting slower and slower even on the simplest actions, to a level where it is basically impossible to even open it, as it will freeze for ages.
Plus, the plotting doesn't seem to work, even if I change every setting it keeps plotting a blank page and i found nothing on forums that could help me with that.
Did you have any similar experience? Please help me out this is driving me absolutely nuts
Hi, In your file a lot of objects have Geometric Constraints applied, and I think it is the main reason in slowing down AutoCAD performance. If you don't need them (Constraints) I'll suggest to delete them all (menu Parametric -> Delete Constraints -> then type all at the command prompt and hit Return twice) and see if this will help. After deleting existing Constraints - check Infer Constraints setting - Shift+Command+I shortcut - it should be OFF in order to avoid slowing down AutoCAD. As for printing - I don't have any troubles with printing your drawing from Model or from Lyouts - everything prints correctly. If you are trying to print from Model space - check output scale - now it is very large (1:20), try 1:0.2 or even 1:0.1 - you will see output on standard A4 sheet. Maxim
