wafertype butterflyvalve without gaskets

Hello,

Could someone tell me the setup in projectproperties and  for the placement of a lined wafertype butterflyvalve between RF-flanges (150lbs) without gaskets and with one set of bolts?

I am new here, so please add some snapshots to explain.

thanks, johan

We've had some discussion around this type of valve on this link here:

http://www.davetyner.com/forum/showthread.php?9892-Lined-wafer-type-valves-how-do-I-tell-Plant3D-tha...

There is a workaround suggested by one of the forum users which is to configure a new end type and connection (without gaskets) for the wafer lined valves which can be used to remove the second bolt set which is added automatically.

The out of the box, "WF" end type is hard coded to perform this action, resulting in one bolt set in the final connection. However, this connection includes gaskets. So the new connection can be used in it's place.

Here is a quick little video about setting it up. Kudos JD.

thank you very much for the solution, but I think there was one part missing:

After approx. 40 sec. of the video you can see that you also have to add in the compound joints  at end 1 the type "WFL"

This is not mentioned in the video....

Johan is correct, you do have to add the a new end type "WFL" into the project using PLANTENDCODES and also into the compound joints configuration in order for this to work.
