We have the out-of-the-box All Installed MvParts US Imperial.apc catalog on the individual C: drives, and a Custom User created (company name) MvParts US Imperial.apc catalog on the company network.
In the options, we have both libraries pathed in the Mult-view Part Catalog. The problem is when trying to add an MvPart,
Only the parts from the library listed first are available for insertion. The second library is ignored.
I know both libraries should be displayed in the Add Mvpart dialog box. This is not happening, now. This is causing a problem because if you try to mvpart modify a part from the catalog listed second, the part is not found error appears.
This is something that developed recently, and is occuring company-wide. Where do I tell AutoCAD to look at and display both catalogs?
I'm having the same issue and am interested if anyone else is too. I haven't got a fix for you, just seconding this problem. (Ooops, just saw the date of the post.)
Please post to the AutoCAD MEP discussion forum which is more appropriate for questions related to the product.
I'm confused, isn't this already in the Autocad Mechanical Group?
What is the difference between this and Autocad MEP? (not trolling, just curious.)
This is the AutoCAD Mechanical forum, AutoCAD Mechanical is a mechanical design and drafting software for Manufacturing.
Your topic will be more appropriate for the AutoCAD MEP forum, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) is the software for designing, drafting and documenting building systems.
Here is the link to the AutoCAD MEP discussion forum.
Hope this helps.
