I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a small problem I have.
I'm adding a WMS connection to my map and it takes about 70 seconds to add the layer. Once the layer is added it works fairly well. Other WMS data sources add almost instantly. The slow data source works well in other WMS clients.
Any ideas or suggestions about how I can speed this up?
Thanks
Hello
Maybe (if it's public) you could give us the Link to your WMS Server ?
Q1) Which MAP exactly ?
Q2) Which Service Pack ?
Q3) 32 or 64 bits ?
Q4) Which WIndows exactly : Win XP Pro, Win Seven, Win 8.0, Win 8.1 ?
Q5) Have you multiple ACAD MAP on your PC ?
If Yes, Which one ? Does'it run OK with some others ACAD MAP ?
Q6) Is the connection to WMS OK with QGIS, MapInfo, etc ?

I am using 64 bit Map 3d 2012 on WIndows 7. I have tweaked the extents of my wms definition and am no longer having the performance issue. However, I am continuing to have some problems.
The WMS service works fine on the above scenario.
On Map 3d 2013 64 bit, on another machine, I get no images at all
On Map 3d 2014 64 bit I get only a partial image, one the west side of the map. It goes from North to South 100% complete but only draws about 1/5 th of the east west. This has been tested on 3 different computers. They all have a wide screen format monitor.
I get correct results on
ArcMAP
Open Jump
Global Mapper
GAIA
QGis
Map 3d 2012.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
I have found that if I start a new drawing and add the wms connection, it works fine. I cannot save and re-open the drawing, with the data connection attached, without the problem re-occuring.
If I save the layer definition, start a drawing and attach a layer I also get the problem result.
