FDO connection users

Is there a way to tell who is connected to an SDF file?  When I try to overwrite an SDF file I get the following error message   "The action can't be completed because the file is open in AutoCAD application.   Currently, I have to email everyone in AutoCad to see if they are attached.

Hi,

don't know if that will work - or a similar tool:

handle - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896655.aspx

Good luck,

Hello from France

YES the current FDO into MAP/CIVIL can't give you the Name/Login of an other FDO MAP/CIVIL user

which is already connected to the same SDF/SHP/etc ...

In the Wish list that I have sent last Year to the MAP Team Manager, I was asking for a small imporovment on FDO :

- Connect and Open for Read Only

- Connect and Open for Read/Write which is the current historical FDO "manner" !

REALLY it was technically a SMALL improvment on MAP FDO Technology !

No News, not implemented in MAP/CIVIL 2014 ...

<Humour ON>

So this Year, I will ask for a FDO Connect and Test Infos Command !

with for example, who is ALREADY connected to the same FDO file/Schema ?

<Humour OFF>

Bye, Pat
