Oops, I'm back in paper space!

Ok, I'm bopping along adding dimensions and other annotations inside a viewport. Suddenly I find that I have placed some annotation in paper space because the program jumped from inside the viewport to outside the viewport. What is happening to cause this. Am I staring at the screen too intently? Am I moving my mouse too quickly? Does zooming cause this?

It shouldn't switch to PSpace on it's own, could you be double-clicking outside of the viewports(s)?

An easy way to tell when it happens is while in PaperSpace, change the VP Color of your Dimension layer to a color you'd never use for dimensions. Now when a Dim is placed in PSpace, you'll notice it immediately.

Excellent tip, Nestly! I can attest to the same behavior happening on my install of AutoCAD 2013, and I suspect it is tied to zooming inside a locked viewport...

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂
