Difficulty working with ACAD 2010

I have ACAD LT 2014. I work with an architect who uses ACAD 2010. I save down my files to 2010 before sending to him. He has LOTS of trouble with my files, especially after he works on them, sends them back to me for more work. I work on them in ACAD LT 2014, then save down (again) & send back to him. He has even more trouble then!
Is this a known problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Just saving the file down should not create any problems. Can you describe what kind of problems he is having?

Have you tried to knock the files down to 2012 format with AECTOACAD command before sending them?

Actual command name is -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD (there is a dash in the name), look up usage in HELP.
