Hi guys wonder if someone could help; I'm new to using AutoCAD Lt and am sort of feeling my way into it and learning as I go along.
My problem is that I require to extract coordinates from specific points on the drawing and set them out on the ground at the real location.
On the drawing there are several base station locations with known coordinates. I have tried coordinating the drawing using Ctrl a, move, then type in the known coordinates of one of the base station location but nothing happens. I have also set the drawing to world with no change.
The coordinates in the bottom left corner are shown but are around 500m out.
I would appreciate any feedback and help.
Thanks
Brett
How are you giong about entering the Coords?
How are you going about using MOVE when you want to move them?
Spell it all out.
# or @ when entering the Coords?

Hi Charles,
That is what I have done. I have also tried entering # or @ before the 1st part of the coordinates.
Post your drawing and a couple of the Coords you need to enter.

Hi Charles,
Wish I could but I have signed a confidentiality agreement so can't post it :(.
Might it be that the drawing is locked so it can't be altered?
Or am I do something totally wrong?
Kind regards
Brett
I was hoping to try it out to see if I could recreate.
My thought is that you are just entering the Coords wrong and need to look at how you are doing it.
Here if I type in:
POINT
enter
125
tab
125
enter
I get a point in Model space at 125,125
MOVE wants a Distance and Direction if you do not enter a comma but if you do:
MOVE
select objects
enter
specify Base point (Likely the point itself)
specify Second Point: # CoordX , CoordY
enter
This will move the entities to an Absolute (#) place rather than a relative (@) place from the Base Point.
