AutoCAD LT 2013 characters in table not lining up

Hi All,

We've just replaced two users windows xp x64 pro machines with Windows 7 x64 pro and as a result have had to purchase AutoCAD LT 2013 for both (one was using LT2002, the other LT2006).

Now however the drawings that they open have tables with text in that aligned perfectly when viewed in 2002 / 2006 but 2013 shows some of the characters outside of the table?

Does anyone know why this might happen?

We thought it could be because of custom fonts we use but I have copied them across to Control Panel > Fonts on both machines and Installed AutoCAD LT 2013 Service Pack 1, again to both machines but to no avail 😞

Can anyone shed some light on what's causing this and what I can try to correct the issue?

Thanks

Steve

Are they Shape Fonts or True Type?

In either case the Font likely needs to be in the AutoCAD Font folder and not in the Windows Font folder.

Actually SHX --> AutoCAD Fonts folder; TTF --> Windows Fonts folder.

(Unless you've added your Windows fonts folder as a support path...then I guess you could put SHX files there too.)

You couldn't resist could you?

This thread is a good example of one that editing my response would make it cleaner and easier to understand after the fact.

I've just been bitten by both scenarios before, so I thought I'd clarify.

(Besides, I've gotta get my post count back up somehow, right? Smiley Happy)

I sent you a Kudos to help with that tracking parameter.

I'm sure that is being watched too.
