Pipe flow direction method - by slope

Is it possible to have pipe flow direction method set to "by slope" by default when we creating new pipes?

I don't know if you can do it in the program, but you could have the rule make the pipe to flow "by slope". Using the FlowDirectionMethod "Gets or sets the flow direction of method the pipe."

So if I understand correctly, I should program a new pipe rule in VBA? Or is it a rule that already exists?

Unless someone comes up with a way to not do it programmatically, I would copy the rule you want and add a line in the code to change the flow direction when the rule is applied or modify the existing rules if you always want the slope change to happen. Check out my AU class for more information on how to create pipe rules in 2008. I haven't looked in help to see if it was added for 2009.
