How to force the grading to update

I have a drawing with two feature lines that intersect each other.
Feature line one connects to feature line two. Feature line two has
grading applied to it. I change the grade of feature line one which
affects the connecting elevation of feature line 2. The grading does
not update to reflect the change in elevation. if I change the slope of
a segment in feature line 2 then the grading updates.

is there a way to get the grading to regenerate after a feature line has
been indirectly edited?
